Bringing the Outdoors In

My interest in photography was a natural progression as I’ve spent my life in the great outdoors. I’ve always had and “eye” for taking good pictures, but it wasn’t until recently that I invested heavily into a collection of high-end DSLR cameras and lenses.

My job as a ranch broker requires me to take the highest quality photography possible to accurately show that property and its attributes. This means showing up before sunrise and staying after sunset to capture the beauty of the landscape, quality/quantity of wildlife, and interior of homes/barns/various improvements. This also requires the skillful operation of a drone in order to provide aerial photos and video.

What I absolutely can’t get enough of is wildlife photography! More often than not, this takes the same kind of prowess, patience, and effort, as my other passion of bow hunting. Wildlife photography is a year-around sport for me and I try to take new pictures daily.

Currently, I’m shooting a Sony a7IV with Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6, Tamron 17-28mm F/2.8, Sony FE 70-200mm f/2.8 GM, and Sigma 150-600mm F/1.5-6.3.
